SHE

She is joy and she is pain
She helps you meet and makes you part
She brings a smile on your face and a tear to the eye
She plays with our lives
A game that we do not know how to play
She hurts the soul and heals it too
But waits for no one
She is a constant change and we all live with her moments
Moments frozen in time
And tucked somewhere in our subconscious mind
A moment captured for life
A place we can always go back to
She is a change everyone fears
For the uncertainty of what the next second brings
She makes you strong and when times are bad
She heals your heart
When it is torn into a million pieces
She teaches you to walk like a baby with care
Even when you have had your share of falls
She builds your image and gives you
a name for being by her side
She gives you choices to make
One to follow your heart or your mind
Life has her by your side no matter what
She makes you cry and weep
And then makes you smile and scream with joy
She will betray you sometimes
Then you curse her for not being by your side
She leaves you lonely and sad to weep by yourself
And then suddenly comes and pulls you
Out of the betrayal
A constant reminder of what you are
Either gaining or losing
She picks and lifts your spirit to such highs
Levels you do not wish to return from
And then at times pulls and sucks you
So low that darkness seems deeper than the deepest sea
She knows how to hold your hand
And make you walk the treacherous path of life
She is one who pushes you to do things
You would never dream or thought impossible
Lost in her arms you sleep in peace
While she caresses your forehead
And gently nudges to wake you up
To see a bright new day
She pushes you out
Into the bright sunny day
And makes you relax when the sun comes down each day
Paving the way to a new tomorrow
And something to remember from the past
She is like your mother
She is your Time in life.
